Project #2: "GREEN BEAT" MULTIMEDIA ARTICLE

Research, write and produce an 8 paragraph professional MULTIMEDIA JOURNALISM ARTICLE in which you educate a broad audience about your environmental news topic.

To earn an “A,” be sure your final articles:

1. Have a specific THESIS statement, grounded in TIME and PLACE, in your opening paragraph.
2. Consist of 8 paragraphs of between 5-7 sentences each.
3. Contain no grammar, spelling, or mechanical errors.
4. Be illustrated with AT LEAST one photo or video embed for EACH paragraph. Draw on your new digital media platforms here for content.
5. Provide AT LEAST one direct quotation from AT LEAST 6 different sources and 4 new digital media platforms. (Remember your INTERVIEWS!)
6. Be presented with confidence in class (excerpted sections.)

Project #1: ENVIRO NEWS BLOG

Select a PLACE-based environmental topic, and create an ENVIRO NEWS BLOG where you will report on JOURNALISTS COVERING YOUR TOPIC, and use WEB 2.0 TOOLS to research, find and share articles and multimedia information about your topic.

(Example: The Environmental Debates Surrounding the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter’s Basing @ Burlington International Airport).

You must actively visit and engage with at least FOUR different new digital media platforms - Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Vimeo, Blogger, or LinkedIn – and interview at least FOUR different people re: your topic, either by email, by phone, or in person, and capture your interviews at your blog.

Visit Blogger.com to create your blog, and then post your blog URL here at this thread.
